KB Selling W/O Telling

Owning our KB home has been a nightmare with nothing but lies from the start. When we first looked into the Sundance neighborhood we were told the land surrounding Sundance was owned by Disney, that’s right DISNEY. Others were told it’s a buffer zone for Briggs Ranch Golf Course and the millionaires who live there and it would never be developed.

The upscale community bit was sold to us just like most everyone else here
upgraded amenity center, Jr. Olympic swimming pool, walking trails, 2 car garages, all homes have brick face. The homes already built with the brick wainscoting would be the last. The homes around the pool were to be 4 side brick have sprinklers and upgraded landscaping to keep with the upscale feel.

When I asked about rentals in the subdivision I was personally told no rentals for the 1^st 2 years. I have since found out they put only 1 year in writing and that you can buy yourself out of that clause, but for those who were going to call this home we were told “no rentals”.

Upon moving in, on day 1 we had a massive water leak that damaged our master closet, half bath and pantry closet. We notified KB and they said they would take care of it. We caught them trying to dry out the house with big fans and heaters instead of gutting it and replacing everything, like the carpet and carpet pad, sheet rock, insulation; you know things that hold mold.

When I called to schedule my 6 month inspection I was told they had moved to an 11 month inspection cycle yet never wrote or called to notify me. I have yet to receive an official letter stating this.
The icing on the cake!
When we first looked at our home it had been built by someone else. KB told us they lost the home because they out built their budget. I find that odd because once your plans are set, KB will absolutely positively not allow you to change the plans by adding or removing anything, “I tried.” So what gives?
Maybe they had learned what I just found out, that my home is built in a flood zone, or maybe they saw the road in front of the house back in 2007 when it was washed out twice, something I just learned. I say enough is enough.
There is no way in hell I can trust or should ever be asked to trust KB again.
